Introduction to programming in Python (in-person)

Overview: This workshop will give an overview of the logical foundations of programming in Python.
Ìý
At the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
ÌýÌý > Understand the different types of variables in Python (data types and data structures)
ÌýÌý > Write simple scripts
ÌýÌý > Use control flow to automate your scripts
ÌýÌý > Understand how to load and use libraries

Prerequisites:
ÌýÌý ·Ìý No prior programming knowledge is required.
ÌýÌý ·Ìý You need to bring your own laptop for this workshop. Install Anaconda on your computer. You can find installation instructions here. Please contact us (cdsi.science [at] mcgill.ca) if you are having trouble with installation. Contact us if you would like to attend but it's impossible for you to bring a laptop.
