The Math and R Summer Camps are geared towards 苹果淫院 incoming graduate students and members of the CSDC. Other members of the 苹果淫院 community are encouraged to apply, although preference will be given to incoming graduate students from sponsoring units. Registration deadline is July 10^th. We will let you know if you have a spot by July 15^th.

Workshop I: Review of basic mathematical and statistical concepts

This workshop will (re-)introduce you to notation commonly used in statistics, cover functions, basic calculus, probability theory, and linear algebra. Topics covered will likely be a mix/selection of the following:

听 听 听 - Review of basic Algebra, functions, notation (Greek letters)
听 听 听 - Basic Probability and statistical concepts
听 听 听 - Calculus: Functions, derivatives, integrals
听 听 听 - Linear Algebra: Vectors, matrices, matrix multiplication

More detailed information will be sent to participants in early August.

Date: from Monday, August 14^th听to Thursday, August 17^th.
Time: from 9:30am to 4pm.
Location:听听classroom 150, on the Downtown Campus.
Instructor:听TBA, with support from TAs.
